Icon of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s first in the cruise line’s revolutionary Icon Class, has been deemed the ultimate family vacation and the best of every kind of vacation. The Icon of the Seas will set sail in January of 2024 and will feature a total of 20 decks, 2,805 staterooms, 7 pools & 9 whirlpools, 6 record-breaking waterslides and 8 neighborhoods. That definitely sounds iconic. Let’s take a closer look and see what the fuss is all about.

7 Pools & 9 Whirlpools

Royal Bay Pool — largest pool at sea and per our count, at least 3 raised whirlpools

Hideaway Pool — first suspended infinity pool at sea

Swim & Tonic Pool — largest swim-up bar at sea and features raised whirlpools

Cloud 17 — an adults-only pool area featuring cantilevered whirlpools

Suite Escape — pool and whirlpool area designated exclusively for suite guests only

According to Royal Caribbean, Category 6 will be the largest waterpark at sea and will feature 6 record-breaking slides. Though we were able to locate the names and features of three out of the 6, we are sure the additional information will be made available as the construction continues. From what we have witnessed so far, it appears to be shaping up as the ultimate family vacation, brimming with thrilling and captivating experiences. It's no exaggeration to say that this ship is on its way to becoming an iconic masterpiece in the world of cruising. Pun intended!
